The 2024 Lonestar Rally was amazing this year. They estimate that there were over 200,000 people that attended the Rally despite the threat of inclement weather.
Bikers For Christ M/M had over fifty members in attendance, and quite a few supporters. Many arrived on Thursday (Halloween Day), and they of course experienced some very strange costumes on the streets of Galveston. That’s OK – we passed out thousands of BFC Gospel Tracts, and Lil’ Jesus’ figures that went over extremely well this year. Even people dressed in extremely demonic looking costumes took the Tracts and Jesus figures. We got to pray with a lot of people on the streets this year, as many were hurting in so many areas.
There were also other Christian motorcycle groups there that are friends of ours. Members from CMA, Soldiers For Jesus MC, Tribe of Judah, and others were also ministering there. It was a blessing to have fellowship and show Christian unity there. I look at Christian motorcycle groups like the Armed Forces. Different uniforms, and sometimes different targeted groups, but we are all brothers and sisters
They had some popular bands at the free concerts with some heavy hitters: BUCKCHERRY, KISS AMERICA (KISS tribute), SALIVA, LONESTAR SKYNYRD (SKYNYRD tribute), WHEY JENNINGS, RODNEY ATKINS, BLACKHAWK, & HIGHWAY TO HELL (AC/DC tribute). There were of course tens of thousands in attendance to share the Gospel with. So, we of course took advantage of being there to pass out Tracts and pray with people from Thursday to Saturday.
We had our Saturday morning meeting at our hosts – Central Christian Church. They’ve been such gracious hosts of our BFC Crew in Galveston since 2008! They let us use their beautiful fellowship hall, as an Outreach Command Post for the week. Some of our members sleep there in sleeping bags, and we can have meetings, and bring food for our members there as well.
The afternoon weather was pretty brutal on Saturday with lots of rain, and some serious wind. We stayed off the streets for a few hours until it calmed down. After a great lunch – we hit the streets again. And all of the areas were jumping again into the wee hours.
The Lonestar Rally is like a smaller Texas version of the Sturgis Rally with a few really great destination points: The Strand, the Port area, and the beautiful Sea Wall equating to a lot of action, music, and vendors all within a few miles.
Lord willing we’ll have a huge presence in Galveston next year, if He tarries. Ride For Christ/Live Forever! Love & Respect, BFC M/M Intl. HQ
