The one who does not love, does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8.
It is easy to say “I love you” especially in a Christian setting. But is it as easy to live it out? Love is an action that we choose. The amount of available time we devote to something or someone demonstrates our love. But, KNOWING HIM allows us to love on a different level.
We love because He first loved us… 1 John 4:19.
When one has compassion and love for a stranger, when one dedicates time, effort, resources or even their whole life to serving God and others is when one can experience knowing Him on daily basis.
Heavenly Father, Your Word teaches us that You are love. I pray that my children will know You and experience Your love. I pray that they will be true disciples (students) of Your Son. Dear Lord, I ask that you give my children wisdom to seek You, the patience to wait for You, the insight to hear Your voice, and the courage to obey You. When they trust You completely, Father, and when they give themselves to You, they are secure. I pray that they will sense Your presence, study Your Word, obey Your commandments, and follow Your Son this day and every day. Amen.
Seek the Lord and Live. Amos 5:6.
Getting to know God and being able to call on Him is the most important step in storing up for the storms.
