Cardo have added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to the premium version of their Ride smartphone app, allowing riders to access navigation and ride information through supported motorcycle TFT displays and aftermarket screens instead of their phone.
According to Cardo, the aim is to make navigation and ride management easier to access while riding.
“At Cardo, we’re committed to delivering more than just world-class communication; we’re building an ecosystem that enhances every moment of the riding experience,” said Alon Lumbroso, CEO of Cardo Systems.
“Adding Apple CarPlay support to Cardo Ride is another step toward giving riders the seamless connectivity they expect, allowing them to navigate confidently while focusing on the ride.”
The move marks another step in Cardo’s push beyond its traditional helmet communication business. Earlier this year the company launched the Venture off-road smart helmet (see previous article on our website under TECH) integrating its second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication technology directly into a Leatt-based motocross helmet.
In March, Cardo also expanded its flagship Packtalk Pro range with a dual-pack option, offering its premium mesh communicator in a package aimed at regular riding pairs.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is available now through the Cardo Ride Pro service on supported TFT dashboards and aftermarket display systems.
